Final Class Reflection
Today was a great day! All my classmates did a fabulous job sharing their case studies. It was so exciting learning about students who have directly benefited from each on of my classmates taking this course, and the many who have indirectly benefited. Baby steps such as ours collectively have a huge impact. Each one of us will continue to make a difference. It's sort of like rolling a snowball - the ball (AT Supports) gets bigger and bigger all because of a group of educators taking a course! Just imagine the difference each one of us are making, and collectively what that means to our students and this world! Thanks.

ReplyDeletePam,
ReplyDeleteI really admire your efforts in creating an amazing presentation for school administrators about various types of AT. As I stated on my blog, I think it's extremely important for administration and school staff to be aware of, and appreciate, the powerful impact of assistive technology has on students' lives. Now if we could only convince the people who design provincial and board level assessments in a one-size-fits-all format...
Pam, your presentation on Saturday was fantastic. If only every administrator understood the diverse needs of the students with Special needs as you do, and demonstrated such obvious compassion and caring for their learning. I hope you have the opportunity to present your project to all administrators so they can realize the scope of educational materials available and the time necessary to implement it correctly and effectively.
